Sof Kreidstein is a transdisciplinary artist and facilitator based in Tkaronto. Their work often takes shape through multifaceted installations and community-engaged projects, exploring queer ritual, Jewish mysticism and ancestral practice, neurodivergent perception, and micro/macrocosmic patterns of transformation, creation, and destruction.

Bringing this knowledge and experience, Kreidstein will delve into Hannah Altman’s photographs, guiding us to look closely at its symbolism in Jewish mysticism, folklore, and storytelling. They will discuss the deep interconnections in Altman's work, considering its contextual and ancestral undercurrents.

Kreidstein holds an Interdisciplinary BFA from NSCAD University (2022). Their public art works, gallery shows, and curatorial projects have most notably been platformed in Tangled Art + Disability, Nocturne Halifax, QUIET PARADE (UofT Blackwood Gallery, and MSVU), and Anna Leonowens Gallery. As a Jewish educator, they work with a number of local organizations including Lishma, Shoresh, and Danforth Jewish Circle, and as Program Director of Machane Lev, a queer and trans-centered Jewish summer camp and year-round youth organization.
