City Seen: Exploring the Spectacle of Toronto

  • Talks & More

A city demands to be seen – but it can also be felt, smelled and heard.

This 3-hour bike tour will explore Toronto at its most spectacular, allowing us to indulge in the performative nature of the city while reclaiming our other senses along the way. Riding across Queen Street West to the city’s Entertainment District, financial core, waterfront and industrial fray, we will find spaces that offer mesmerizing and theatrical perspectives of the urban landscape – its daily pageantry of lives, its interplay of light and shadow, and its striking displays of industrial prowess. As we cross through Toronto’s heart of consumption – Yonge and Dundas Square – we will go beyond vision to find the uniqueness of a non-place, finishing our tour with spectacular views of the skyline (and a good snack).
