The Koffler co-presents Man Booker Prize-winning British author Howard Jacobson at the International Festival of Authors. Jacobson will be interviewed by Dan Friedman, Managing Editor of the Forward and read from his latest work, Zoo Time.

HOWARD JACOBSON
An award-winning writer and broadcaster, Howard Jacobson was born in Manchester, brought up in Prestwich and was educated at Stand Grammar School in Whitefield, and Downing College, Cambridge, where he studied under F. R. Leavis. He lectured for three years at the University of Sydney before returning to teach at Selwyn College, Cambridge. His novels include The Mighty Walzer (winner of the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize), Kalooki Nights (longlisted for the Man Booker Prize), the highly acclaimed The Act of Love, and The Finkler Question (winner of the Man Booker Prize, 2010). Howard Jacobson lives in London.
DAN FRIEDMAN
Dan Friedman (UK) is the managing editor of the Forward, a legendary voice in American Jewish journalism, and founder of Zeek, a Jewish journal of thought and culture. Formerly the award-winning arts and culture editor of the Forward, he has also written for the New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and Da Ali G Show. Friedman has a PhD in comparative literature from Yale and an MA in English literature from Cambridge, and is currently writing a book about the rock band Tears for Fears.
