The 24th annual awards celebrating excellence in Canadian writing on Jewish themes and subjects. Books in a variety of genres will be recognized at the awards ceremony on Thursday, June 7 at 8 PM. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
This year's ceremony will be hosted by broadcaster and host of CBC Radio One's The Sunday Edition, Michael Enright.

A NOTE ON THE AWARD CATEGORIES OF THE HELEN & STAN VINE CANADIAN JEWISH BOOK AWARDS
Awards are given out annually and have included the following categories: Fiction; Scholarship; Biography / Memoir; History; Children’s / Young Adult Literature; Poetry; Holocaust-themed; Jewish Thought & Culture; and Yiddish (Translation from Yiddish, or Yiddish-themed). The prizes of the Canadian Jewish Book Awards are not fixed to a set number or set categories but are determined annually at the discretion of the Jury. Please refer to the Guidelines for Entry or more information on the eligibility criteria that informs the Jury's decision making process.
